Illustrations & Offerings

Austen Men in Film + 2 is the theme of the 2017 Calendar. Below are a few of the men
appearing in this calendar.

Colin Firth as Fitzwilliam Darcy - Pride & Prejudice 1995

Blake Ritson as Edmund Bertram - Mansfield Park

Rupert Penry-Jones as Captain Wentworth - Persuasion

Ciaran Hinds as Captain Wentworth - Persuasion

Richard Armitage as John Thornton -  North & South

Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon - Sense & Sensibility

The pictures in the calendar will not include the watermarks.

Below are a few of the drawings that appear in the new 2014 Pride and Prejudice calendar,
Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth. (minus the watermark)

'A Beginning'

I took artistic liberties with this drawing by putting Darcy and Lizzy together rather than across the room. I also changed Lizzy's dress and the background of the room at Netherfield.
'An Accomplished Woman'

'Rejected'

Darcy, watching Lizzy at the pianoforte at Rosings.
'The Pianoforte'

For those of you very familiar with this film version, you will notice my interpretation has several changes from the original, including the color of Lizzy's dress and some of the background.
'The Dance'

Do you recognize this scene from the 2005 movie? It is a bit changed but my interpretation illustrates the dawn of Elizabeth's and Darcy's realized and shared love for one another. In the actual scene, the sun is so bright that the profiles are almost non-existent. I wanted mine to be more distinct.
'Hope'

For all of you Matthew Macfadyen fans, below is my interpretation of him during the second proposal!
I will continue to 'fix' him but for now, here he is! I will be doing mugs, mouse pads, tiles and compacts with him on them too.

'Affections & Wishes'

Mirrored Compact

One mirror is a magnifying mirror and the other is a regular mirror. Both are included in the compact.
They will be available with any drawing and the drawings to come! (MM fans)
These are available for purchase on my website, JT Originals, along with mouse pads, mugs and tiles.

200th Anniversary Mug featuring 'The Kiss'

Mugs hold 11 ounces and are dishwasher safe. All mugs have a corresponding quote on the back.

'The Compassionate Observer' Mouse Pad
It measures 9 1/4" x 7 3/4"

The tile 6" x 6" and is available with any of the drawings as are all of the items shown above.

  3. Definitely interested - at least the mousepad, maybe more (oh, who am I kidding...) -- but I may hold out, too, for an MM rendering before deciding which of your lovely designs to choose. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!

  13. The Ciaran Hinds and Colin Firth for 2016 are some of the best portraits I've seen you do, Janet. You captured the character as much as the actor. Brilliant work!
