Book Description
But, what if Elizabeth were forced to relive it over and over and over again? Night after night after night?
Elizabeth: Clever. Witty. Confident.
Suddenly, her confusion and desperation make her question things she long thought she knew.
Mr. Darcy: Proud. Unapproachable. Bad tempered.
In this world where nothing is as it seems, Elizabeth must learn to see through new eyes.
Including a man she thought she hated.
Let the hilarity ensue.

_________________________________________________________________________My share in the conversation...
The story
beings after the Netherfield Ball. In Elizabeth’s eyes, the ball was a
disaster. She was embarrassed and disgusted with the behavior of her relations.
The day after the ball, found Elizabeth once again in an embarrassing and awful
situation, all thanks to Mr. Collins. Thursday morning dawned “bright and clear,”
and Elizabeth was hopeful that this day would be uneventful. It was not to be. This
time the pain was Jane’s, and Lizzy felt her family was partly to blame. As
Lizzy lay in bed that night, she wished her family had behaved better, at least
in public. With that wish the cycle of a repeated day begins.
There are
many things about this book that I loved. In fact, I cannot think of anything
that I did not like. One of the first things that impressed me was the way the
author handled the reliving of the same day over and over. She didn’t recount exact
details of each day. She kept the plot moving along. The day might be repeating
but Ms. Adams telling of it was not. She kept it lively and varied. I
found that refreshing, as each day held something new and fun. When Elizabeth
realized she could do or say anything and no one would remember – until “he”
did – it made for some great and well-deserved conversations and actions.
Superb job, Elizabeth Adams.
As usual for
Ms. Adams, her writing was good and her story telling, excellent. I laughed and
I sighed. There were many really good scenes with Darcy, and some hilarious
scenes with other characters. The story was well done and made me feel happy. That
brings me to another thing I loved, which was the ending. I wasn’t ready for it
to end, but when it did, the ending left me feeling good and warm inside. I want a book to leave me
feeling satisfied, and this
one did. Thank you, Elizabeth
Adams, for another novel well done. The first book I read by Ms. Adams, The Houseguest, was awesome. I loved her Mr. Darcy in it and I loved him in this last one, The 26th of November, another awesome book. I highly recommend it.

ReplyDeleteYou will find it interesting and fun to find out!
DeleteI have been avidly followed this tour as I am really excited about this release. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it and for the chance to win a copy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and commenting. Good luck in the giveaway.
DeleteHi Janet, I've been absent for longer than I would wish, I'm sad to say but thankful I'm able to catch up with this latest blog tour for now. I love the 'Groundhog Day' premise in any genre (and indeed it was actually showing on TV here a few nights ago whilst I was reading some of the earlier posts on the tour. Spooky or what?). In fact, just to put my sci-fi geek hat on for a moment, one of my favourite episodes of Stargate SG-1 is Window of Opportunity (a repeating time loop) and a Doctor Who episode from a couple of years ago was a virtually single-handed tour-de-force by Peter Capaldi in Heaven Sent (not actually a time loop, but the same circumstances repeating over and over again). This is the first time I've seen it in an Austenesque story from Elizabeth's POV and it aounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is spooky! By the way, you can put your sci-fi geek hat on around me. Shhh - I'm one too! LOL I LOVE Stargate SG-1 and I now the episode you mention! This was the first Austenesque story from Elizabeth's POV about this that I have read too. I loved it! Hope you get to read it too. I've missed seeing you around so glad you are back!
DeleteThank you so much, Janet! I'm so happy you liked the book.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, Elizabeth. I loved the book! It was so good and kept me smiling a lot.
DeleteI love the little disclaimer on the cover 😂
ReplyDeleteMe too! That was the perfect touch! The complete cover is lovely but that was the icing on the cake!
DeleteThat was one of my favorite parts! I think this might be my favorite cover out of all of mine. I had several ideas for subtitles and asked my graphic designer if she could come up with a way to have more than one. She exceeded my expectations with the disclaimer. :-)
DeleteIt said my comment was published, but it's not showing so I will write it again:
ReplyDeleteLoved your review Janet. There is nothing like a warm and fuzzy feeling after reading a good book. Elizabeth Adams has done that for me in all her books that I have read so far...I think I have only one other left to read beside this one! Congratulations and enjoy the blog tour!
Thank you, Carole. I agree completely. That is the perfect feeling to have after completely a really good story. You know it was worth your time reading. I hope you get to read this one soon.
DeleteI dearly love a laugh, so this book sounds like it will fit the bill!
ReplyDeleteYes, it will. You will laugh quite often and other times, have a feeling of...they so deserved that!
DeleteIt’s on my kindle next to me read!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read it soon, Christina.
DeleteLovely review! I hope to read this soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria. I hope you can read it soon too. It is such fun!
DeleteA great review as always, Janet. It really tempt me to put this story ahead of other books that I want to read. I wonder how Elizabeth manage to break the cycle and everything goes back to normal. Perhaps not normal but speed up the romance between Jane & Bingley and Elizabeth & Darcy.
ReplyDeleteWhat's neat is that she breaks it in the most unexpected way! It was awesome. I would recommend moving it forward if you want a really fun and enjoyable read.
DeleteThanks for the lovely review, Janet, and thanks Elizabeth for writing this book!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading it now and having such a great time with it! I love that about the book too, Janet, that there are no repetitions of 'The Netherfield Ball: Classic. Predictable. Immortalized.', and instead we're treated to the new things happening. I love the lively pace, the author's bubbly style, the tweaks Lizzy keeps making at the events in the hope she'll make a difference. And every time I think 'She's cracked it now!' Lizzy wakes up and it's the day of the ball again :D
Can't wait to see what makes Lizzy escape from her Groundhog Day loop and so glad that it left you with a warm fuzzy feeling, Janet :)
You're welcome, Joana. I'm happy you stopped by and had your share in the conversation. I loved your thoughts on the book. Everything you said about it is perfect and I agree completely. You will love how she make the escape from her loop! Yes, that warm fuzzy feeling is a great way to end. Your last one left me feeling the same! :)
DeleteLoving the blog tour! Looking forward to reading it!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a good story. I hope you get to read it soon.
DeleteThis premise sounds really fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is, Ria. I laughed out loud several times. It has its touching and sweet moments, too.
DeleteThis sounds like a lot of fun. Definitely on the TBR pile.
ReplyDeleteGood! I hope you can read it soon!
DeleteGreat review Janet, and I agree with you. There is not much in this book, that I don't love. Congratulations Elizabeth.
